In a shocking incident, a 40-year-old rickshaw puller was hit by a tempo in west Delhi's Subhash Nagar at 5:30am. Police said the victim, identified as Matibool, a resident of West Bengal, lay bleeding on the road for close to 90 minutes before they reached the spot. The accident took place around 5:30am but was reported only around 7am. A police team reached the spot and rushed Matibool to a nearby hospital. Doctors declared him brought dead, stating that he had died due to excessive bleeding.
