India Vs Hague over Pakistan water row: New Delhi rejects order, Indus treaty suspension stands

India has rejected the Permanent Court of Arbitration’s order on the Indus Waters Treaty, maintaining that its decision to keep the treaty in abeyance remains in force. The Centre also rejected restrictions on the Ratle hydropower project in Jammu & Kashmir, calling the arbitration body “illegally constituted” and saying it has no jurisdiction over India’s sovereign decisions.
