India beat New Zealand by 7 runs in the final T20 match to complete a 5-0 sweep against the Kiwis. Batting first, India posted a total of 163 for the loss of 3 wickets in their quota of 20 overs. Stand-in captain Rohit Sharma played a brilliant knock of 60 runs before retiring hurt. Chasing 164 for victory, the home team suffered early setbacks. Ross Taylor top scored with 53 runs while Seifert scored a brisk half century. However, Indian bowlers managed to curb the flow of runs to hand India another victory.
