Delhi rape: Uber cab driver's mother wants punishment for her son's crime

The rape accused Uber taxi driver's mother in Uttar Pradesh admitted her son's crime and sought punishment for him. The cab driver's mother, Gangashri, said that if her son is guilty then he should be punished. The arrested driver, Shiv Kumar Yadav, appeared in court on Monday and was remanded in custody for three days. Shiv Kumar's father, Ramnath Yadav, said there were few cases filed against his son in the past, but he had not been convicted in any of those. He was arrested three years on a similar charges of raping a woman but was later acquitted. Despite a ban by the government, Uber cab services are still operational in the city.
