PM offers apologies for not preventing Mumbai attacks

Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Thursday accepted that lacunae existed in the country's security mechanism and apologized for not preventing the terror attacks in Mumbai that claimed close to 200 lives. Singh called upon the international community to take stringent action against Pakistan, the epicenter of terrorism. Singh further added that actions like UNs' sanction against members of militant outfit LeT should be continued in sustained manner.
