Watch | India’s fastest train ‘Gatimaan Express’ flagged off

India's first semi-high speed train named Gatimaan Express was flagged off today by Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu on Tuesday. The Gatimaan Express will run between Hazrat Nizamuddin and Agra Cantonment stations at a speed of 160kmph, making it the the fastest Indian train ever. The proper commercial run of the train will commence from April 6. The launch of this train heralds a new era of high-speed rail travel in India. It is likely to be introduced on eight other routes across the country soon.
