Watch | Kerala man breaks world record with 82 knuckle pushups

Updated on Feb 29, 2016 07:18 pm IST

An Indian man has smashed the world record for maximum number done on his knuckles in one minute. KJ Joseph, 35, did 82 of the harder push ups in 60 seconds. The previous record was held by Ron Cooper of the United States, who did 79 push ups in 2015. Joseph, a karate master, said, “I am extremely happy that I could manage to break the record at this age. Most gymnasts and Karate practitioners quit the sport by the time they are 32-33.” The feat has helped Joseph enter the Guinness Book of World Records. The karate master, who is also an Ayurveda practitioner, has already set his eyes on improving his record. He now intends to do 90 push-ups in one minute, and in the process break his own record.
