- Mumbai’s municipal corporation recently released a climate action plan with a 30-year outlay. While the plan holds up for its goals, climate scientist Anjal Prakash of the Bharti Institute of Public Policy at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, says the architecture of service delivery and implementation are where the largest challenges will lie. Ward-level planning, interdepartmental co-operation and a special vehicle that coordinates the operations and reports directly to the Chief Minister’s Office would be the way to go, he adds.
