Japan to restart biggest nuke power plant 15 years after Fukushima disaster

Japan is preparing to restart the Kashiwazaki‑Kariwa plant, the world’s largest nuclear power station, nearly 15 years after Fukushima Former atomic regulator Tatsujiro Suzuki warns that, despite stronger seawalls and backup power, human error, weak safety culture and even military attack risks mean Japan must rethink how much it really needs nuclear energy.
