Thousands of Iranians are defying a lethal crackdown to keep protesting against the regime, with rights groups reporting dozens killed and Iran’s leaders openly framing the unrest as foreign-backed “vandalism” that will be met with force. At the same time, President Trump warns that the U.S. will “hit very hard where it hurts” if Tehran repeats past mass killings of protesters, while Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei publicly accuses Trump of having “Iranian blood” on his hands and serving foreign powers, vowing that arrogant rulers like him will eventually fall.
