Lewis Hamilton honours his mother; Takes her name Larbalestier before 2022 F1 GP

• F1 champion Lewis Hamilton has changed his name to honour his mother. Noting the struggles of his mother to help him realise his dream, Lewis Hamilton said that he will include her maiden name in his name. The Formula One driver said he intends to add Larbalestier to surname and added, "I really want my mum’s name to continue on." Hamilton’s father, Anthony, and his mother, Carmen, separated when Lewis was two; he lived with his mother until he was 12 before moving in with his father. “I am really proud of my family’s name," said Lewis, speaking before the new Formula One season, which starts in Bahrain on Sunday.
