Iran's new supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei’s first message has opened a brutal new front in Iran’s war beyond Israel, with Saudi Arabia now taking direct hits as U.S. troops stationed there are wounded and flown out on emergency medevac flights. Tehran’s “True Promise 4” barrage of drones and missiles has repeatedly targeted Riyadh, key U.S. bases and vital oil infrastructure, forcing Saudi air defences to intercept dozens of incoming projectiles even as some slip through, causing casualties, damage and deep anxiety in the kingdom.
