Mojtaba's bloodiest attack on Israel yet: over 50 injured in 1 hit as Iran missile beats IDF cover

Nearly 60 people were injured and several homes were damaged in northern Israel on March 13 after a barrage of Iranian missiles hit the Arab village of Zarzir, near Nazareth, in the latest wave of Tehran’s “Operation True Promise 4.” Israel’s Magen David Adom ambulance service said more than 50 people needed medical treatment, most for light wounds caused by flying glass, while at least one woman was moderately injured as missiles struck residential streets in the pre‑dawn hours. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard says this was part of the 44th round of its ongoing campaign and claims it used Khorramshahr, Kheibar Shekan, Fateh/Fattah, Emad and Qadr ballistic missiles along with suicide drones, after earlier salvos degraded Israeli radar. The strike came just a day after new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei’s first public statement, in which he vowed “vengeance” until Iran’s objectives are met, warned that all U.S. bases in the region must be closed or face attacks, and pledged to keep pressure on Gulf Arab neighbours hosting American forces. Israeli commentary says Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has in turn threatened that Mojtaba could be assassinated like his father if Iran continues to rain missiles on Israeli cities and U.S. assets, raising fears that both sides are locking into an even more personal and escalatory confrontation.
