'Muslim daughter-in law...': Artiste faces ban on temple ritual participation

Vinod Panickar is a Poorakkali artiste (ritual dance blended with rhythmic dance, songs & martial art). Panickar has been performing the ritual dance at North Kerala temples for three decades. The renowned artiste is facing a ban to participate in the ritual performance because his son married a Muslim girl. The temple committee said Panickar was not banned, but he took the decision on when some office-bearers raised objections.
