Turkey’s intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin has issued a stark warning over the escalating Iran conflict, cautioning that the ongoing war involving the United States and Israel could spiral into a prolonged regional crisis lasting decades. Speaking at the International Strategic Communication Summit 2026 in Istanbul, Kalin described the situation as a potential “great fire of discord” that could inflame tensions among Turks, Kurds, Arabs, and Persians.
