National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met top Chinese diplomat Wang Yi on the sidelines of a BRICS grouping meeting. During the talks, Ajit Doval conveyed that the situation along the LAC since 2020 has "eroded strategic trust". NSA Doval emphasised the importance of restoring peace and tranquility at the border, so as to restore normal bilateral relations between India and China. Earlier this month, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar also met Wang Yi on the sidelines of the ASEAN summit and discussed border issues. Watch this video for details.
