'BBC Modi Film disgraceful': UK MP blasts British broadcaster over riots documentary

Days after British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak came to PM Modi's defense over the controversial BBC documentary, another British lawmaker Bob Blackman slammed the 'disgraceful' and 'hatchet job' on Modi. While speaking at an event in the House of Commons to mark 33 years of the "genocide" of Hindus in Kashmir, Blackman raised the issue over the documentary and told fellow lawmakers that 'when you watch it I recommend you take some tablets to calm you down.' The Indian government has described the film as a 'propaganda piece' lacking objectivity and showing a colonial mindset. It has been 'blocked' for viewing on Youtube and Twitter by the Indian government.
