Watch: 2 crore Indians lost jobs in April-May 2021, as per CMIE | Covid impact

The CMIE Chief Mahesh Vyas on Tuesday, 02 June said that approximately 22.7 million Indians lost their jobs in April & May 2021. The Indian economy which had already been sluggish before the pandemic hit, registered its worst ever GDP growth rate in Financial Year 2020-21. The opposition has been questioning government’s preparedness to deal with the crisis. The central government in its defense said that it was an unprecedented year and India is the not the only country to face an economic downturn. Watch full video for more details.
