India to export multi-mode grenades worth ₹3, 000 CR; Indian Army to get 10 lakh units | Details

Munitions India Limited said that the state-owned defence company received orders for more than 10 lakh multi-mode grenades for the Indian Armed Forces. Additionally, over ₹3,000 crore of orders for exports has been placed with the defence firm. The announcement comes at a time when the Modi government has been taking efforts to transform the defence sector into a self-reliant industry that can cater to the present and future endeavours of the Armed Forces. Technology infusion as well as the development of critical combat capabilities are part of the plan to modernise the Army as tensions with China persist at the border.
