India to facilitate Russian oil supply to Bangladesh? Delhi mulls ‘transit’ plan

According to a report in Economic Times, India is exploring ideas to help transport Russian oil and gas to Bangladesh. India is interested in becoming the transit hub for Russian energy for the neighboring country. Earlier, Turkey had expressed an interest in becoming a transit country for such supplies to Bangladesh. But reports suggest that New Delhi believes its geographical location as well as close political ties with Dhaka make it better suited for the job. Watch this video for more.
