Indian Army hands over military gear to Nepal counterparts; Gen Pande gets honor

- Indian Army chief General Pande has handed over various non-lethal military equipment to his Nepali counterpart General Prabhu Ram Sharma on Monday. Artillery equipment, mine protected vehicles, medical stores and even horses were presented to the Nepalese Army. COAS Gen. Pande is on a four-day visit to that country to strengthen bilateral defence ties. He was conferred the honorary rank of general of the Nepali Army by President Bidya Devi Bhandari - a long followed arrangement that reflects the strong connection between the two nations.
