India-UK free trade pact to miss deadline; PM Modi may not sign deal this Diwali

The Free Trade Agreement between India and the United Kingdom is likely to miss the Diwali deadline. According to The Daily Telegraph, the deadlock has emerged during the final stages of negotiations on two key sticking points. It said Data localisation and UK companies being allowed to bid for Indian govt contracts are among the issues posing roadblocks to the historic deal. Earlier, UK Home Secretary Suella Braverman expressed her reservations over India being offered some sort of visa concessions. Watch this video to know more.
