Mamata Banerjee beats BJP, wins Bhabanipur bypoll to retain Bengal CM seat

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wins Bhabanipur bypoll by a record margin of votes as she defeated BJP's Priyanka Tibrewal to retain her traditional seat. Mamata Banerjee defeated BJP's Priyanka by a record margin of 58,835 votes and avenged Nandigram setback where she was defeated by the saffron party's Suvendu Adhikari. This is Mamata Banerjee's third win from Bhabanipur since 2011 and the victory has secured her CM chair. Meanwhile, TMC workers broke out in celebrations in Kolkata. As Mamata won big from Bhabhanipur, her posters were unveiled in parts of kolkata where she is hailed as ModiShahsuraMardini, a wordplay on Mahishashurmardini, which is another name for Goddess Durga.
