Suspense ends as Yediyurappa resigns as Karnataka CM; now buzz over successor

- The political suspense revolving the fate of BS Yediyurappa in Karnataka has finally ended as he finally stepped down as the chief minister of the state after staying in office for 2 years. The 78-year-old Yediyurappa announced his resignation amid reports that he was asked by the BJP high command to step down to pave way for a young face in the state ahead of 2023 Assembly elections. Now all eyes are on BJP top brass which is yet to name the successor of Yediyurappa.
