Not US or Iran, Trump's NATO ally blames Netanyahu for new war; 'Israelis after worst-case scenario'

Turkey’s foreign minister Hakan Fidan accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of deliberately pushing the Middle East toward a “worst-case scenario,” saying Israelis themselves “don’t pay the price” while the region, the US and Europe bear the costs of war. Fidan, a key NATO figure and close Erdogan ally, argued that Netanyahu’s policies cannot bring security to Israel, only more conflict, even as Turkey tries to stay out of the spiralling US–Israel–Iran confrontation and urges a broader regional diplomatic track that addresses Iran’s missiles and proxy groups alongside its nuclear programme.
