Odisha wheelchair basketball captain sets Guinness record

Kamalakanta Nayak, a 28-year-old para-athlete has entered the Guinness Book of World Records. Kamalakanta Nayak started pushing his wheelchair at 4:30PM on Saturday and completed 575 laps between 2 busy traffic squares in Bhubaneswar by 4:30PM on Sunday. The previous record was held by Portugal's M. Trinidad, who covered 182.4km in 24 hours on a manual wheelchair. Kamalakanta Nayak broke the previous record in 20 hours.
