Nitin Gadkari has signed off on regulations allowing 100% ethanol use in vehicles, while launching a 100% ethanol-compatible Maruti WagonR and flex-fuel bikes from Hero MotoCorp as part of India’s push towards cleaner alternative fuels. He also announced upcoming pilots with hydrogen-powered buses in Nagpur and rejected doubts about ethanol, insisting it can match petrol on performance when paired with proper engine technology.
