Jai Bhagwan qualifies for Olympics

Jubilant family members of Jai Bhagwan, who secured an Olympic berth in the 2012 London Games, celebrated their son's achievement at their home in Karnal town of Haryana. Bhagwan achieved the feat after beating seventh seed David Joyce of Ireland by 32-30, in the 60 kilograms category, and made his way to the quarterfinals of the World Boxing Championship in Baku. Jai Bhagwan was joined by boxers Devendro Singh and Manoj Kumar in qualification for the London Olympics.
