South African cricketer Quinton de Kock apologised for refusing to take the knee. De Kock said he is fine taking a knee if it ‘educates others’. De Kock also said that he will be available for his team's remaining matches of the T20 World Cup. Cricket South Africa shared Quinton De Kock’s statement on Twitter. He had pulled out of South Africa's Group match against the West Indies in Dubai. This came after Cricket South Africa ordered players to take the knee before every game.
