Australian cricket player Phillip Hughes died on Thursday, two days after a ball hit his head during a match. He lost consciousness and died of bleeding on the brain two days later. The death of the 25-year-old has shocked Australians and cricket fans worldwide. Australian Cricket Captain Michael Clarke and Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott bid an emotional goodbye to the test batsman. Deaths in cricket are rare, although Hughes is the second player in two years to die after being hit on the head.
