Tribal affairs ministry felicitates Mary Kom

Tribal affairs minister, V Kishore Chandra Deo felicitated Olympic bronze medallist boxer and five-time world champion Mary Kom with a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh to acknowledge her excellence in the sport. The 29-year-old bagged bronze medal in the women's 51 kg flyweight event after defeating Tunisia's Maroua Rahali. Deo said that Kom has been declared as the recipient of the tribal award for the year 2012.
