Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro closed the Meeting of Jurists in Defence of International Law in Caracas, urging the United States to “stop the crazed hand” pushing South America toward war. Addressing 100 jurists from 34 countries, Maduro called on the American people to oppose any escalation and warned against turning the region into “another Gaza.” He accused Washington of violating international law and fuelling instability but insisted that peace will prevail in Venezuela. During the event, National Assembly leader Jorge Rodríguez presented ten proposals demanding respect for international law and an end to US military activity in the Caribbean.
