Trump sends 4th U.S. official to Israel, General Dan Caine in Tel Aviv amid Gaza truce ‘violations’

General Dan Caine, U.S. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, arrived in Israel on October 30 as an official guest of IDF Chief Eyal Zamir, receiving an honor guard and participating in strategic meetings at the IDF’s Kirya headquarters. Caine and Israeli commanders discussed critical regional developments and the ongoing fragile truce in Gaza, with the general later observing Gaza by helicopter and visiting the U.S. multinational force overseeing the Israel-Hamas ceasefire in Kiryat Gat. His visit coincided with renewed ceasefire violations, airstrikes, and high-level accusations between Israel and Hamas regarding hostage negotiations and casualties, as over 100 Palestinians have reportedly been killed in Israeli operations since October 9. Caine joins a growing list of top U.S. officials to visit Israel during this turbulent period.
