Ministry of External Affairs has revealed that a consignment of 128 wheels for the Vande Bharat trains has been stuck due to conflict in Ukraine. MEA Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi assured that the consignment will be brought to India soon as talks with Ministry of Railways is underway. India had given an order for the wheels to Ukraine-based firm this year. As per a PTI report earlier this month, India has now placed orders for wheels with the Czech Republic, Poland and the United States to meet its target of launching 75 semi-high speed trains on prominent routes across the country by the end of this year.
