Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić says Serbia has not “switched sides” after hosting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, rejecting criticism from both pro-Russian and pro-Western opponents. He insists Belgrade will preserve a sovereign foreign policy: Serbia has not imposed sanctions on Russia, seeks peace rather than either side’s victory in the Russia–Ukraine war, and will continue talking with Kyiv because Ukraine supports Serbia’s territorial-integrity position on Kosovo.
