Will Iran's fiercest proxy unleash hell on Israel to save Khamenei?

Yemen’s Houthi movement has evolved into one of Iran’s most heavily armed regional proxies, fielding a diverse arsenal of ballistic, cruise, and anti-ship missiles that now threaten the Red Sea and potentially Israel. From Soviet-era systems seized in 2014 to advanced variants linked to Iranian designs such as Shahab, Qiam, Fateh, and Kheibar Shekan, the group’s range now reportedly extends up to 1,950 kilometers with the Toofan missile. Experts say Tehran has steadily upgraded Houthi capabilities for years, exporting its naval warfare model beyond the Persian Gulf, raising fears of wider escalation amid U.S.-Iran tensions and regional conflict.
