Amid death rumours, Taliban chief Akhundzada's first public appearance

Amid rumours of his death, Taliban Supreme leader Haibatullah Akhundzada makes his first public appearance after the Taliban took Afghanistan in August this year. As per reports, Akhundzada visited Darul Uloom Hakimah madrassa and addressed supporters in Kandahar. Earlier there have been rumours of Akhundzada’s death but his reported public appearance may put an end to those rumours. Akhundzada was appointed the leader of the Taliban in 2016 after a US drone strike killed his predecessor. Watch the full video for more details.
