Argentina chefs set a new Guinness World Record of making 11,000 pizzas baked in 12 hours in Buenos Aires on Sunday. The event, which was organized by the Association of Owners of Pizzerias and Empanadas Houses (Appyce), also set a new record for the highest number of empanadas with 11,000 produced in less than eight hours. Manuel Jamargo, president of the Appyce, said the chefs needed 3,000 kilograms of flour, 3,000 kilograms of mozzarella cheese, 1,200 liters of tomato sauce, 150 liters of oil and 88,000 olives to accomplish the “crazy dream”.
