Bangladesh temples attack: Sheikh Hasina says perpetrators ‘will be hunted down’

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina condemned violence in the country after Hindu temples and Durga Puja pandals were attacked. Bangladesh government promised swift action against those behind attacks. Bangladesh PM Hasina said the “incidents in Comilla are being thoroughly investigated. It doesn’t matter which religion they belong to. They will be hunted down and punished”. At least four people died in the communal clashes after durga puja pandals were attacked. Attacks mostly happened in Comilla districts. Paramilitary forces were deployed in 22 districts. Violence was triggered after alleged besmirching of Quran at a Puja venue, as per reports.
