‘Fuel-less’ Sri Lanka turns to India for help; 2-week ban on petrol, diesel sale

- Sri Lanka sends SOS message to India for urgent fuel supplies as the country has suspends retail sale for 2 weeks. Sri Lanka’s high commissioner Milinda Moragoda met Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri in Delhi to appeal for emergency supplies of petrol & diesel. Puri responded positively and assured the high commissioner of “all possible support to Sri Lanka at this critical juncture.'' The Sri Lankan govt has banned retail sales of fuel and have even shut schools & offices amid major crisis. Watch this report to know more.
