Hong Kong court bars airport protests; cops slam ‘violent, radical acts’

Hong Kong police commented on the intense protests in the city even as a court reportedly barred demonstrations inside the airport. Protestors had been camping inside the airport since last Friday. The protests adversely affected services on multiple days this week when flights were cancelled. The police called the protests 'radical' and 'violent' and also defended the use of 'proportionate' force. The force also called the airport 'irreplaceable infrastructure' and an 'essential transport hub'.
