In a first, Australian Air Force refuels Japan fighter; QUAD members boost ties

The Australian Air Force conducted air-to-air refuelling flight testing with the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. The Australian tanker refueled a Japanese fighter jet in the air for the first time. The program involved Australian KC-30A multi-role tanker transport & Japan's Mitsubishi F-2 aircraft. The test program involved 9 flights between Australian KC-30A & the Japanese F-2, flown in a variety of conditions. While neither Australia's nor Japan's handout mentioned China, both batted for free Indo-pacific. Watch the full video for more.
