Japan Invites Palestine Envoy To Nagasaki Event But Not Israel; Sends Letter On Gaza Truce Instead

Israel has not been invited to attend this year's Nagasaki peace ceremony, which is scheduled for August 9 in southern Nagasaki, Japan, according to Mayor Shiro Suzuki. Speaking to reporters, Suzuki expressed his concern that demonstrations would sabotage the atomic bomb victims' monument because it is welcoming Israel. But he also welcomed representatives from other nations, including Palestine.
