Knife attack at Paris police HQ, 20-yr old assailant shot dead

A 20-year old employee launched a knife attack at the Paris police headquarters. At least 4 police personnel were killed in the attack. The assailant was eventually shot dead. According to reports, the police said that the attacker had worked as an administrator in the intelligence unit and had not posed any known problems till the day of the attack. The area, one of Paris' busiest tourist attractions, was locked down after the attack.
