Pakistan left red-faced as IMF denies its chief initiated phone call with Sharif

The International Monetary Fund has left Pakistan red-faced as it awaits the release of 9th bailout package. The IMF in a statement, refuted claims by Pakistan government that its managing director initiated the phone call with Shehbaz Sharif on Friday. It stated that Pakistan PM had requested for a call from the IMF chief. This comes as Pakistan finance minister prepares to meet an IMF delegation on sidelines of a conference in Geneva tomorrow.
