The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) retained Pakistan on its grey list on Thursday. It said that Pakistan needs to further demonstrate that action is taken against UN-designated terrorists. FATF President Marcus Pleyer said the decision was taken after a three-day plenary meeting. FATF said that Pakistan largely addressed 30 out of the 34 items in the two action plans. Pleyer said Pakistan is cooperating and only four action items remain to be completed. FATF also expressed concern about the terrorist financing risk environment in Afghanistan. The global terror financing watchdog also added that Turkey, Jordan, and Mali have been added to the grey list.
