‘Proved them wrong’: Pak gets first Hindu woman as senior cop in Manisha Ropeta

- 26-year-old Manisha Ropeta is making heads turn in male-dominated Pakistan. Manish Ropeta has become Deputy Superintendent of Police, first woman from the minority Hindu community in Pakistan to hold the position. She is currently under training and will be posted in the crime-infested area of Lyari in Sindh province. Manisha said, “From childhood, I and my sisters have seen the same old system of patriarchy where girls are told if they want to get educated and work it can only be as teachers or doctors.” Watch this video to know more about Manisha Ropeta's inspirational journey.
