Putin Woos NATO Member Turkey, Urges ‘Friend’ Erdogan To Curb Economic Dependence On West

Russian President Vladimir Putin warned its ally, NATO nation Turkey, of economic losses. Putin said that the Turkish economy stands to lose if Turkish authorities continue to turn to the West for financial support. He said, “If Turkey's move is related to the restriction of trade and economic relations with Russia, then the Turkish economy will lose more than it gains." Putin also warned Turkey of cooperation with Ukraine, claiming that Kyiv is trying to hit pipelines carrying gas to Turkey.'
