Putin's Election Victory In Russia Triggers EU, NATO Nations; 'Sick For Power...Not Free Or Fair'

Iran and China were among the first few nations that congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin for his historic victory in elections. But EU, NATO Nations U.S., UK, Germany, France, Poland and Lithuania took a starkly different tone. They pointed out how Putin's re-election was not free and fair as he silenced the opposition. Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky said Putin was 'sick for power.' The Kremlin and the Russian foreign ministry responded to the U.S.-led West's criticism and said that the West had itself guaranteed Putin's re-election by ensuring that NATO is perceived in Russia as the enemy.
