In the last five days, Russia has fired over 300 long-range missiles and 200 attack drones towards Kyiv and Kharkiv following a promise by president Vladimir Putin. On January 1, Putin vowed to intensify attacks on Ukraine after an attack on Russia's borderline region of Belgorod. In the latest, five people were killed in Russian attacks on two Ukrainian cities. Volodymyr Zelensky called the attacks premediated terror and urged for faster delivery of Western weapon shipments. The Russian defence ministry, on the other hand, claimed that it targeted only military installations in Ukraine. Meanwhile, one person was killed and nine missiles were downed over Belgorod in a new Ukrainian attack. NATO nation Poland also scrambled jets at its border with Ukraine to protect its airspace from the serial attacks. Watch this video for more details.
